There's a reason the GOP is against Obama's so called stimulus package: IT DOESN'T STIMULATE THE ECONOMY!!!
32 Wasteful Things in Obama's Stimulus Plan
CNN reports that there are at least 32 items that Republicans are fighting over, totaling over 19 billion dollars of excess waste. Here's just a couple of the more ridiculous ones:
- $246 million tax break for Hollywood movie producers to buy motion picture film.
- $600 million to buy hybrid vehicles for federal employees.
- $6 billion to turn federal buildings into "green" buildings.
- $160 million for "paid volunteers" at the Corporation for National and Community Service.
I mean, PAID volunteers?!? I would have thought even the Dems would see how silly that is...
