It's strange that when people who feel the "facts" in Global Warming
deserve more scrutiny, they are lambasted for, well, for being
scientists. Here are a few cases:
Oregon State Climatologist
In the State of Oregon, the current climatologist doesn't believe there
is enough evidence to prove that the current warming trends are due to
man's involvement and so-called greenhouse gases. Because of his stance, the governor wants to make the position someone he appoints. Good to be King, I guess. Here's the full article:

Delaware State Climatologist
Delaware has a similar issue. One scientist, David Legates, is doing his job as a scientist and questioning the answers to Global Warming theories. By being a scientist, studying all data, he's being accussed by the Union of Concernced Scientists that he's been paid off by ExxonMobile to spread "disinformation". Here's the full article:

What gets me about this article is that there are people complaining about the possibility that this professor has received money from ExxonMobile. SO WHAT?!? People who are for Global Warming receive money from the government who want to see this as a political footbal. Should they be attacked for their source of money as well? If the science is sound (facts backing the "disinformation") then who cares who's funding the project?
The California State Attourney is asking a federal judge to force oil companies to list who they're paying. I suppose that could be fair, but only if every environmental group has the same treatment! If they want to see who's paying for one side of the argument, I want to see who's paying the other side, and then we can see why something like the theory of Global Warming even exists.
California Attorney
General Bill Lockyer claims, "The climate skeptics have played a major role in
spreading disinformation about global warming." The exact same thing can be said about climate proponents. At least this article makes that point towards the end (the Washington State climatologist says that scientists who work on behalf of environmental groups also should have to disclose their backing). If any scientist is receiving money about his/her studies, it's in his/her interest to make sure that the study reflects the money's attitude, to receive more funding, etc.
Also not in the article, there's a brief mention of Virginia state's climatologist, Patrick Michaels (who also feels the science behind Global Warming is inconclusive at best).
Gore's Debassing Attacks
Lastly, I want to hit on a recent topic that's been making fuzz in the net lately, talk about the Bush Administration censoring or even paying scientists to debunk global warming theories. Gore recently stated that the "science" could not be argued, and so this was the only way for Bush to not stop polluting, by paying people. Read the CNN article here:

It's a classic ploy of the left. Can't win with real proof and facts, then start making stuff up, calling names, etc. This is even more laughable when you compare to what two Democratic Senators recently tried to do. Senators Snowe and Rockerfeller sent a rather threatening letter to ExxonMobile "warning" them to stop supporting anti-global-warming groups, incinuating that the Government would get involved if they didn't.
