We all know the Democrats like to compare Bush to Hitler and his
Gestapo, but what about the EPA? As I've mentioned in other Global
Warming posts, the dangers of politically driven policies is that
science-be-damned! It must fit within my policy or be done away with.
Recently, an EPA member group threatened to destroy a "denier"s career:
Washington Times article: Destroying a Denier's Career
"It is my intention to destroy your career as a liar," Mr. Eckhart wrote. "If
you produce one more editorial against climate change, I will launch a campaign
against your professional integrity. I will call you a liar and charlatan to the
Harvard community of which you and I are members. I will call you out as a man
who has been bought by Corporate America. Go ahead, guy. Take me on."
Gotta love how globalwarmists (and just about everyone on the left) threatens when they can't get things their way...

| So is YOUR way and other conservatives alongside you to continue denying the facts while scientists continue to prove that climate change in happening? Why is it that conservatives are so ready to dismis science as proof of anything unless it favours the argument they're making? Is it really worth continuing the debate? What if it turns out that you are wrong, and by then it is too late to actually do anything productive about it? People like you don't deserve to live on this planet if you're so ready to exploit it for your own personal and financial gain. Really. What is wrong with you? I expected more from a Canadian. |

Global warming was a scientific question. It has now become a religion with the singular aim of destroying all science that shows evidence to the contrary.
The real aim is to destroy the scientific requirement for empirical evidence as a basis of proof, and replace this with the almighty "concensus." Popular opinion is much easier to control than the energy emitted by the sun.
It will be interesting to see what happens when the sun goes into its cooling phase. I suppose environmentalists will find some way to blame human beings for that too.

Well put John. Anyone who is currently questioning the vitrial from Global Warmists is not dismissing science. They are doing their homework and questioning it, because when you broaden your scope and look at more than just the past 30 years, you see that there are a lot of reasons to question the "cencensus".
All I can say is that the Global Warmists have an amazing racket right now. They can push their agendas all they want during the next 5 years, and then when the Earth starts cooling, they can claim SUCCESS with all their ill-fated programs. What really scares me is if they start mucking around with nature, thinking they can do better than the Earth can, then we're *really* in trouble...
